My story is told by my Indonesian maid.
One night, my maid and her friends were walking along the road after a late night open-air concert. They live in a kampong and as you probably know the roads in kampongs were not well-lit and there were tall trees and bushes all around. More often than not, there will be graveyards around there. The graveyards were full of rubbish 'cause people just don't bother to tidy it up.
Anyway, my maid and her friends were walking along when one of her friends suggested to rest under a huge tree which happens to be near them. While they were sitting down and chatting, they suddenly heard the sound of a woman laughing. The sound seems to be coming from the top of the tree. So, they stood up and look up to the very top of the trees.
And there, standing at the very top were a woman with bloodshot eyes and a long white dress and still laughing at them. The woman then threw water-chestnut at them, they run like hell. When they got home however, they all got fever for three whole days and when they got better, their crop failed them. Is that scary or what.This Ghost Story's Index 1
