This story is told by my boyfriend, who is serving his National Service in Police Academy, 2001.
On a Thursday night, my boyfriend who had just been enlisted in there, was on his way to his barrack after calling me up. He was in the C Coy. While he was walkng alone, he heard quite a strange laughter. As he was the "hack care" and "if i didn't disturb you, you shouldn't be disturbing me" type, he ignored and rushed back to his barrack. On the day itself too, he knew that his seniors are passing out and they decided to play pranks such as dressing up as a "pocong" or putting on wigs, to disguise as the "lady, on their last day.
The next day, when he was having classes, his FIs told them that one of the seniors who was playing pranks last night, was struck by a high fever. It was because as he was dressing up as a "pocong", jumping here and there with another mate, they jumped and went in through the gymnasium (which is at the basement). The both of them saw 5-8 more "pocongs" jumping. Thinking that it was their other squad mates, they shouted to the rest of them "Oi! takde tempat lain ke korang nak gi? Gi tempat barrack budak lain lah!" (Oi! You people have no other place to go? Why don't you guys go to the other barracks?)
The both of them turned and laughed at each other. When one of them turned as he was about to ask the others anymore places whereby to scares people off, they were shocked to see that the 5-8 "pocongs" had "left".
Eventually, they lift up their cloth and ran as fast as possible.
So, i would like to congratulate those who are enlisted in the National Service under Police Force. BUT, watch your back guys cause you'll never know what's gonna happen to you.....
PEACE BE UPON YOU......
