Some of you may remember that there were actually 2 haunted HDB flats totally unoccupied for many years in Hougang while they were still there. These 2 blocks have been developed into condominiums since last year . The middle age folks living near there sure have lots of stories to tell you about the flats if you ask them. Let me tell you my 1st hand experience ...

About 4 years ago, when I was still in secondary school, I gathered my cousin and 3 of our friends for a game of basketball. After playing for a while, we got bored and that was when someone suggested we go explored the flats. You know that unoccupied buildings have big metal gates that shut out the stairs to prevent people from going in....well, I guess we got lucky because 1 of the stairs was unlocked! But , sigh...we have to walk up the stairs because the lifts were not in use.

Everything went well while we walked up .However ,on the way from the 6th to 7th floor, I heard something and stopped dead in my tracks. The others noticed me stopped and they too did the same. From where we were standing , we could see the whole corridor of the 7th floor, but there was not a soul out there. However , we could hear a faint whistle from the end of the corridor moving towards us...it got louder and louder and just before it reached us, we screamed and dashed down the stairs like mad charging bulls , all the way out of the building and into the warm sunlight before we felt really safe.
