Old Tower
Ghost

submitted by Ginger

I moved to Ft Worth here in Texas about a year ago. There is a place called The Tower that I have visited severl times now. You drive down a country highway for about 20 miles before you turn off the road onto a whiterock rural road, and drive past a very large, upkept mansion. It's quite farmish looking but still nice from what I've seen. Every time we've gone down to the Tower it has been near midnight. The house has stories of it's own, but this is going to deal with the Tower exclusively.

You come to where there is a hill on your right side and the tower on your left. Also to the left, behind and beyond the tower, is a lake of some sort. It is said, and I have seen a few sources quoted, that an old Indian burial ground existed there hundreds of years ago, but that a sinkhole or something developed and the lake was formed. The tower stands about 3 stories tall, and is next to the remnants of a burnt down house. there is still a concrete base, there are white cornerstones, and there are pieces of something standing that look like they might be driveway markers of some type.

It's very sad, the Tower itself. The base has been torn down in places, the rock ripped and broken apart, there is graffiti covering it such as satan lives, etc. Most if not all of it has been done by kids, I suppose.

My friends and I knew that it was considered a place of great amounts of energy, and decided to go out there to see what it was like. We stood in the road for at least 15 minutes just trying to get an overall feel of the place. After that we entered the actual grounds. I went and stood on one of the cornerstones and was just filled with this sense of something almost holy, sacred in some way. The burnt house held no fear for me (and I am EASILY frightened!!) and I explored it with care and reverence. It has no feel to it at all except for despondency and peace. then again that might have been my own emotions :)

Well, I walked widdershins (counter clockwise) around the tower itself alone, not as an initiation in my group, but as a gift; I was strong enough to do it alone. I felt this great sense of peace and happiness. I trailed my fingers along the broken walls, along the graffiti, and in places where the rock was broken away the entire inside of the tower was enclosed in a sheet of metal.

My husband and I have discussed the possibility of the metal being there because the tower is only about 6 feet from the lake; the buildre knew it would sink somewhat over years.

Well, I completed my steps and was walking back towards the group, who were standing at the front of the tower about 20 feet away, towards the road.

what i'm about to say is what THEY saw,and then what I saw. I cant say for sure about what they saw because I myself did not.

A man was walking beside me, about 6 feet tall, very long dark hair, and pale skin. He was dressed in a very normal appearing dark suit with a cravat of some type, red. He had his hand on my shoulder. I was surrounded by a blue glow; the further i got from the tower the more it intensified.

What I felt was a longing to return to touching the tower, and to sit down near it and fall asleep. I felt very comfortable with it.

Well, my husband started talking to me in very hard, urgent tones to come to them and let go. He then started cursing and yelling at what he saw beside me. The man reached out and hit him. What I saw was my husband reach out and then his head snapped to the left. There was a harsh red mark upon his face and a long cut from which he still has a scar.

I heard a whisper in my ear. A voice, sort of dusky and soft, like old lace, said to me bear well for your child is lost. He then dissappeared according to all those gathered.

My husband took me home and since has not let me return.

On a sad note, I miscarried ten days after this occurred. I am not left with a sense of dread, rather I want to return to the Tower during the day and clean it up.
