When I first came to college I started hanging round with the second year crowds. They had a tonn of spooky stories to tell and me being the new one they decided to tell me, you know, in the dead of night when everyone else in the building was asleep.(corny, i know but it gets better)It turns out the building we all live in was a Edwardian mental hospital. There were stories flying at me about all the pregnant teenagers that died in childbirth and the mentaly handicaped that were keeped out of sight, all of them pretty cool but thats not what im telling ya, this is the true ghost story.
When all the hype of the fresher term had died down so had the ghost fanatics. one guy I knew still held fast that the place was haunted, so it turned out,as I found, it was.
One night, quite late in the year around March,I had a visitor.
It was a promotion night at college for a local beer. drinks were going for free but as my luck has it I had the mother of all headaches.I was on my own in that awfull old building.
I was asleep in my room in pitch blackness feeling real bad when all of a sudden i woke up as i felt as if someone had sat on my legs, turning round i saw somthing i will never forget A man , a fat man with a shaved head was sitting on my bed staring right at me, I jumped onto my hunches in shock, "what the f***k!" and for a millisecond we stared at each other then it was gone. i sat frozen in shock. then calmley went to the door, unlocked it and went to my friends roo up the hall. I told her, she didnt belive me because i was so calm, it wasnt till i started to discribe him that i got scared, i ended up on her floor that night. The man had a babyface almost and even though it was dark i could see the scraches allong his forhead where he had had his head shaved.
I forgot all about it up till now. when the janitor gave me somthing he tought i would be interested in. It was a newspaper clipping, turns out the whole place was exorcised 10 years ago. The place has only been halls of residence since 1995 Lets put it this way....I changed halls.
