The ten cent silver star on our Christmas tree
Still shines bright for our family.
The little star has seen many years come and go,
And I might add, Jo and I to, soo--
First came Bobby, just a baby, that year you seem to smile.
I might say that was some time ago.. quite a while.
But every Christmas, we always put you on top of the tree
Then it wasn't long before Kelly arrived for you to see
I think of each Christmas that has come and gone today.
You have seen and heard a lot about our lives I might say
Also, you've seen the excitement and the twinkle in a child's eye
And heard This is just what I wanted, I could just cry.
There have been many good times and a few bad,
Or maybe I should say, some of those times were sad.
We, as a family, never lost sight of why we celebrate the season
And the love we have for each other is another reason
We were so glad to have Charlotte join this crew
It makes it extra special, I'm here to tell you.
We wouldn't take for the rapport we've had these years
So I gotta say one mone time, Cheers.
to make it complete, then came Brittany, and Mr. Cole
Our grandchildren seem to make it whole.
What a joy it has been for us to hear 'em laugh and see 'em smile.
The star seems to also approve of their style.
Yesterday, Jo said, Well it's time to put up the Christmas tree.
I wanted to say, Not this year, then I thought of the star you see
I just gotta say, It's sure nice to have another Chrismas day.
But I still wonder, if you could talk, just what would you say
Years seems to change a bit.
There were ups and downs, but you go on, you don't quit
You might say I'm well worn,
Kinda like the star, tittered, tattered, and torn.
Well, Jo did the decorating of the tree, for ninety-nine
And it gives me a warm feeling, when I look up and see the star shine
Little silver star, your once again where you should be,
But you'll never know what you mean to the family.. Jo and me.
