Don Mulford, Hair Today and Gone Tomorrow</head><body><center><center><img src=http://www.saviodsilva.com/p1.gif border=0 alt=Saviodsilva></center><hr color=3C00FF size=4><br><font size=4 face=arial><b><a href=169.htm>Don Mulford</a></b></font><br><center><img src=http://www.saviodsilva.net/poem/a/1.JPG border=0 alt=Poem></center><br><font size=3 face=arial><b>Hair Today and Gone Tomorrow</a></b></font></center><blockquote><blockquote><p align=left><font face=arial size=2><b>What Makes the woman of today<br>Think tousled hair is pretty?<br>It looks as though she just got up!<br>It really is a pity.<br>She'll mousse it and she'll bleach it,<br>And she'll twist it into curls,<br>Then she'll straighten it and crimp it<br>To compete with other girls.<br>She'll spend her time in beauty shops<br>While catering to fashion,<br>With dreams that changing hair styles<br>Will contribute to her passion.<br>But maybe all her suitors<br>Wouldn't really care a fig<br>If she hid that mass of tangled hair<br>Beneath a pretty wig!<br>The redheads want to dye it blonde,<br>The blondes all want it lighter,<br>But surely, curly haired brunettes<br>Tie bonds of love much tighter.<br>My wife is not a redhead,<br>Or a blonde as you will see;<br>She's just a happy ex-brunette,<br>Because she married me.<br>And now I'm sure you'll have the urge<br>When you read this to say,<br>It's only 'cause she married him<br>Her hair is turning gray<br>But I prefer it just like that,<br>We've each gone gray together,<br>And now we make a matching pair<br>We're both birds of a feather.<br>Don Mulford.
