Memories of a world I once knew
Veiled in bold myths of scarlet hue
And feign be true.
Dark clouds hover in pale blue eyes.
Tears fall like rain from azure skies,
And heaven cries.
Fruitless and barren as the plain,
Child of my womb, birthed in pain
My love profane.
Ravage my heart, forsake blood ties.
Seek not from me wherein truth lies
And honor dies.
Torn from the landscape I loved best,
Children’s children, held to my breast
Heaven hath blest.
Cradled in love, gentle rapport
Heart of my heart, those I adore
Could I love more?
What power changed your image of me?
Some mystic spells that none can see?
Clouds of mystery
Cast dark shadows upon my door
Who’ll vanquish dark clouds evermore?
Who? I implore.
And Jesus said, Come unto me all ye that are weary
and heavy laden..and you will find rest unto your souls.
