A bunch of cowboys and I,
were rounding up wild horses.
Tis a long tale, me-oh-my,
I'll cut out the long courses.
Corralled, the sortin started
T'was standin upon the rail.
Hope'in mine would be parted,
the stud, with long mane and tail.
Lassoed, his hooves beat the air.
My mind seemed to feel his fear.
Suddenly I was in there,
part of him, feelin so near.
If I could just bite this man,
that has this thing around me,
I'd run as fast as I can,
jump the fence and I'd be free!
I lunged and chomped on his arm.
He screamed as he pulled away,
Shaking my head in alarm,
snorting, I felt much dismay.
Sitting straight up in my bed,
wondering where I could hide,
I had lunged and bit instead,
my man t'was layin beside.
He screamed, You're crazy women!
What the heck you tryin to do?
You act like you aint human!
Fully awake then, I knew.
In my dream I was the horse.
My action following through,
I bit my husband, of course!
Near took a chunck or two!
Suddenly realizen,
how bizzarre this thing I'd done,
I wuz just about dyin,
with laughter, like it wuz fun.
The more my husband grumbled,
the funnier it became.
What'll I tell'em at work,
You wuz just play'en a game?
I laughed so hard, t'was weepin.
My husband said, Stop wigglin!
Neither of us wuz sleepin,
Cuz I could not stop gigglin!
Showin teeth marks, badly bruised,
he said, Now what's my recourse?
That I wuz sorely abused,
my wife thought she wuz a horse?
